FLEA MARKET SALES START TO RISE
Every week the vendors at our flea market compare notes.
Either we are complaining about the heat or lack of sales.
Well, in Florida its still hot but the sales for the most part are starting
to pick up. People are looking for bargains so if you can give
your customers a good deal the sales are there.
It has been a long hot summer and my sales have been steady.
I arrive at 7 am and leave at 11 am. So for those few hours
on Saturday and Sunday I have no complaints.
The weather is starting to cool down and the snowbirds will
start to filter back down and that kicks in our season for the
next 8 months.
We are an open air market and what I call one of the last
'True Junk Markets' left. We also have a lot of new items
for sell but there are things here that you won't find at most
other markets.
Here are a few of the vendors I notice doing a lot of business.
Jewelry seems to be in right now and with the price of gold
and silver climbing people are looking for deals in this area.
Also people are willing to sell their pieces to put some serious
cash in their pockets.
Vendors selling used tennis shoes are doing quite well also.
I bought a like new pair of Nikes for $15.00
Produce sellers always do well. People can save an awful lot
of money compared to store prices.
Now guess who else is doing well? The guy selling boiled and
roasted peanuts. (That would be me) Which brings up the topic
of my eBook. Its completed and I hope to put it on sale next week.
So if you are thinking about selling at the flea market just walk
around and see who's doing the business. Also look at what people
are carrying around. This will give you ideas of what to sell.
Until Next Time,
Wayne
